The Trust Test...He Yearns for You...Holy Ground

The Trust Test

Psalm 62:8

One thing you can expect to encounter in your journey with God is the trust test. How many times do you say to God, “What is going on in my life? What are You doing? What is happening? I don’t understand.” If you are in a place right now where nothing in your life makes any sense, trust God anyway.

You are not just to have faith and trust in God once in a while or from time to time, but at all times. You must learn to live from faith to faith, trusting the Lord when things are good and when things are bad. There is no such thing as trusting God without unanswered questions. There are always going to be things you just do not understand.

He Yearns for You

James 4:5

According to James 4:4, when you pay more attention to the things of the world than you do to God, He looks upon you as an unfaithful wife who is having an illicit love affair with the world and breaking her marriage vows to Him. To keep you faithful to Him and in close fellowship and communion with Him, sometimes He must remove things from your life that are keeping you from Him.

The Holy Spirit wants to be made welcome; He yearns for fellowship with you. Don’t allow jobs, friends, family, money, or success to take His rightful place in your life. Open up your entire life and say with all your heart, “Welcome, Holy Spirit; I am glad You made Your home in me!”

Holy Ground

Exodus 3:3-5

Moses removed his sandals because he was standing on holy ground. Just moments before, it was ordinary ground – now it was holy. God’s presence made it holy!

You are God’s tabernacle. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. He lives in you! Wherever you go, He goes. If you go to the grocery store; if you go play golf’ if you go to work – He goes. Ordinary things and places are not holy in themselves, but when we go and do them God has promised to be with us. Any place God is becomes holy.
