Signs of Success
Mark 16:17-18…...and these attesting signs will accompany those who believe
Salvation is in the name of Jesus. You are baptized in the name, both in water and the Holy Spirit. You pray and expect your prayers to be heard and answered in the name. The sick are healed and demons are cast out in that wonderful name.
The early disciples used the name of Jesus, and Satan came against them fiercely. The devil does not want you to start anything of value – and if you do manage to get started, he does not want you to finish. He knows well his time on this earth is quickly running out. Accomplish great things in the name of Jesus and finish strong!
Find Your Backbone
2 Thessalonians 3:13
Passivity is the opposite of activity. The Word of God clearly teaches that you must be alert, cautious, and active (1 Peter 5:8). The devil knows inactivity will spell the believer’s ultimate defeat. As long as you are moving against the devil by using your will to resist him, the enemy will not win the war. However if you enter into a state of passivity, you are in serious trouble.
Passivity can best be described as a lack of desire, general apathy, and laziness. Many believers want the good life but they are passively sitting around “wishing” something good would happen to them. If you desire victory over your problems this evening, if you truly want to live the resurrection life, resolve to have a strong backbone (determination), and not just a wishbone!
