follow peace

Follow Peace

5/24

Romans 8:6

People hesitate to follow their desires, because they don’t know how to divide their soul from their spirit. If they can’t discern the difference between the desires of their flesh and Spirit-led desires, then they don’t know when God is truly leading them to do something.

But you can learn to know if God is leading you or not. When God gives you a desire for something, He will give you peace along with it. You may not be excited, but you will have peace, if the thing you desire is from God. Wait for peace today.

Each new day is a blessing

Each new day is a blessing and each moment thinking of times shared with friends a joy.

This is an actual size of Noah's Ark.

Let me know what happens to you the morning after you open this e-mail.

This is an unusual one. It actually gives you a time tomorrow. Let's see if it works.

Hi Lord, it's me

Hi Lord, its me.
We are getting older and things are getting bad here.
Gas prices are too high, no jobs, food, and heating costs too high.
I know some have taken you out of our schools, government & even
Christmas, but Lord I'm asking you to come back and re-bless America.
We really need you!
There are more of us who want you than those who don't!
Thank You Lord,
I Love you.

Go Where God Sends You

Go Where God Sends You

5/20

One of the main reasons people don’t enjoy their lives is that they don’t follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Because Jesus fulfilled the law, we have full freedom to enter into the Holy of Holies and fellowship with the Father. Hebrews calls this “a fresh (new) and living way” to enjoy our relationship with God (see Hebrews 10:20).

Spend time with God today, and go wherever the Spirit of God leads you. He will always give you the grace to do what He calls you to do.

A New Desire

5/21

Romans 7:22

When we are born again, we get a new “want to.”  The law says we “have to, should, and ought to,” but we want to do the right thing because God has put a new heart in us to replace the hard stony one that used to be indifferent to Him and His will (see Ezekiel 36:26).

Learn to recognize the difference between the desires of your flesh and the desires placed in you by the Holy Spirit. Psalm 1:1-2 says, “BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly……But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law( precepts, the instructions, the teaching of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.”

Everyone Is Different

5/22

Romans 12:6

Don’t feel bad about yourself if you are not able to do what someone else is anointed to do. God anoints each of us to contribute to the body of Christ in some unique way. What God enables you to do is no more or less important than what He has called someone else to do.

God made you different from everyone else to fulfill the desire of His heart, and He promises to fulfill the desires of your heart too (see Psalm 37:4). He will anoint whatever He’s given you, so place your gifts in His power today, and enjoy yourself.

God Wants Your Heart

God Wants Your Heart

1 Samuel 16:7

Religious teaching turns our attention to our outward appearance, but it doesn’t empower us to clean up our inside thoughts and intentions. Jesus called the religious Pharisees “whit-washed tombs full of dead man’s bones” (see Matthew 23:27), because they boasted of their perfect obedience to the Hebrew laws.

But God didn’t see them as perfect, because their hearts were not merciful as His. God would rather have someone with a sweet, wonderful heart toward Him, who makes mistakes, than somebody with a slick performance, who is rotten inside.

When God looks at your heart today, let Him find it wholly seeking Him.

God Likes the Way He Made You

Psalm 139:15

Have you ever asked God, “Why did You make me this way?” Sometimes the things that we think are our worst faults, God will use to His greatest glory:  “But who are you, a mere man, to criticize and contradict and answer back to God? Will what is formed say to him that formed it, Why have you made me thus?’ (Romans 9:20)  Jesus died so that we might enjoy our life in abundance and to the fullest until it overflows. You are not going to enjoy your life if you don’t enjoy yourself. Be satisfied with yourself, and celebrate the unique way God made you.

Live to Serve God

Mark 10:45

As the potter forms clay into vessels, some for honorable use and some for menial use, so God forms us to serve His purpose. Regardless of how our position in life may look to others we are all formed to serve the Lord in some way.

If God made you to be a helper, then help with all your heart. If you enjoy cleaning houses for people, then do so as if you are cleaning the Lord’s house. If you want to stay home with your children instead of earning extra income, don’t worry that God has called others to paying positions outside the home. Do what ever the Lord puts in your heart to do – and enjoy fulfilling your God-given purpose.

Only God Can Change You

Psalm 41:3-4

Don’t obsess over your faults, or you will never enjoy the life that Jesus died to give you. Only God can change you, so talk to Him about your desires. The Word says that those who wait on the Lord will change (see Isaiah 40:31).

Meanwhile, quit taking your flaws so seriously. Don’t let discouragement or depression rob you of your energy and make you angry. If you do, you may take that anger out on other people and miss the blessings God has in store for you today. Enjoy yourself, and lighten up! Take the right steps today toward the change you want to make by asking God to help you all day long.

Renew Your Joy

Renew Your Joy

1 Chronicles 16:27

Emotional trauma drains people of their energy. But the Word says, “Be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold” (Nehemiah 8:10). The devil wants to steal your joy because he knows that joy is your strength. He wants you to be weak so that you won’t resist the turmoil he sets against you. That is why sometimes we need each other.

Some days God will send messengers to build you up in faith and renew your joy. Some days He will send you to someone else who is in a weakened condition because Satan has been pounding on them. Be someone’s friend today. They may need a friend to stand beside them and encourage them and to lift them up and pray for them.

Think Ahead

5/16

1 Corinthians 2:7

Look ahead to the reward God has for you in heaven. God has already written the end of the Book which says that good news is in store for those who put their faith in Jesus.

Even if you live to be a hundred years old, and have trials every day of your life, Paul said that our monetary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs all the trials we face now (See 2 Corinthians 4:17 -18 NIV). Keep your eyes on the finish line and not on the turmoil around you.    ``

Enjoy Challenges

Enjoy Challenges

Psalm 73:28

Another key to starting your day right is not to dread things. Don't lie in bed dreading the whole day before you even get up. Dread is a close relative of the spirit of fear. When dread enters, joy leaves. Dread sets you up for misery, because by choosing to dread you decide that you cannot enjoy what you must do today.

Be excited when you face new tests. Close the door to the mindset of dread. Decide early to enjoy every challenge that faces you today, knowing that God will be with you to make your path straight and to prosper in everything you set out to do.

Have a New Mindset

Have a New Mindset

Psalm 51:10

We set ourselves up either for misery or for joy by the mindset that we have toward the things in our life. Mindsets are the patterns in which our mind normally operates toward a certain determination. For example, when we look at our schedule today it may seem that there is far too much to do, But if we choose the mindset that God will help us through it, we will enjoy watching how everything falls into place.

Refuse to dread what must be done. Greet the day with a right attitude and a thankful heart that you have a Savior who is ready to rescue you from more than you can handle. Enjoy yourself and say, "I refuse to live in dread; I am going to enjoy my life today."

Perfect Love Casts Out Fear

5/12

Philippians 4:13

Dread is a relative of fear. The devil tempts us with dread to get us to confess fear instead of faith. But 1 John 4:18 says, "There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love's complete perfection]."

Enjoy your day, knowing that God loves you perfectly. Don't dread the hard things that you must do today because God is on your side and is ready to help you.

God Is on Your Side

5/13

Psalm 149:4

If you never face trials, you will never have to exercise your faith. But even when facing hard times, you shouldn't dread life. Isaiah 8:13 says, "The Lord of hosts- regard Him as holy and honor His holy name [by regarding Him as your only hope of safety], and let Him be your fear and let Him be your dread [lest you offend Him by your fear of man and distrust of Him]."

If you dread life and fear people, you are not trusting the Lord to save you.  Keep your reverential fear and awe of God; dread displeasing Him, but don't fear anything else. If God is for you, who can be against you? "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who love us" (Romans 8:37 NIV).

Be Ready

5/14

Proverbs 4:6

Philippians 4:13 promises that Christ will empower you for anything you must face. This means that He will make you ready for anything and equal to all challenges by infusing you with inner strength.

God will never put you in a position to do something without giving you the strength and the ability to do it. You can relax and enjoy your life, for God will "strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ" (Hebrews 13:21).

discover new lands...

Here is a quote that was provided in a meeting today:

One does not discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore for a very long time. (Andre Gide)

To me this means that we need to keep our attitudes fresh and inspiring and work diligently to not get so caught up in the routine that we overlook new and better perspectives or methods of delivering the one’s corporate [or personal] mission and message to the public. Don’t be afraid to venture away from the way “it’s always been done.”  Step away, take a fresh look, and always strive for improvement.

Decide to Be Positive

 Decide to Be Positive

5/6

Philippians 4:8

Negative people don’t enjoy life. Viewing each day with positive expectations is one of the key principles to Godly happiness.

We act on what we believe, so positive thoughts cause positive actions. If you want a positive life, begin thinking positive thoughts. It is easy to do so if you read the Word and meditate on all that God wants to do for you and through you. Get alone to day, and think about all the good, positive things God has done for you in the past, and all He has planned for you in the future.

Bless Someone Today

5/7

To have a healthy love walk today, spend time this morning thinking about what you can do for somebody else. Don’t wait for God to ask you to do something; take the initiative and say, “Okay God, what can I do to be a blessing on Your behalf today?”

The best days you live are the ones you spend loving other people. Choose a particular person, and think about ways to bless him or her. If you don’t know what to do, just listen to what he or she says, and before long you will hear of that individual’s needs.

God Know and Sees

5/8

Psalm 25:14

Nobody else may see the things you do, but God sees them all. Every time you pray, God sees it and plans a reward to give you openly (see Matthew 6:1-6).

Serve the Lord in all that you do today. The Word says, “In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening withhold not your hands, for you know not which shall prosper, whether this or that, or whether both alike will be good” (Ecclesiastes 11:6). God will prosper what you do for Him.

You Can Change

You Can Change

5/9

Romans 6:4

You will never reach your destiny by thinking negative thoughts. When you first wake up in the morning, start saying, “I love my life. It is wonderful. I thank God for everything He has given me.”

You will do yourself a favor if you start thinking right thoughts so that you will also choose right actions. Sowing the right actions into your day will form new habits. As you begin to operate in those new habits, you will change in your character. And as your character changes, you will move into the destiny that God has for you. By God’s power you can live in newness of life.

Awesome Mom

Awesome Mom

Once you have been hit, you have to hit 5 awesome Moms..
Including the one who thought of YOU today and sent it to YOU....
If you get hit again, You will know you are Really awesome!
So hit 5 awesome moms on your friends list to let them know they are awesome
!

Before I was a Mom,

I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom,

I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on..
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night
.

Before I was a Mom,

I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep
.

Before I was a Mom,

I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom
.

Before I was a Mom,

I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy
.

Before I was a Mom,

I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom

Send this to someone who you think is an awesome Mom.
May you always be overwhelmed by the Grace of God rather than by the cares of life

In Our Weakness He Is Strong

In Our Weakness He Is Strong

Psalm 31:3

Each of us has our own unique flaws, like cracked pots. But if we will allow it, Jesus will use our flaws to grace His Father’s table. In God’s great economy, nothing goes to waste.

So as we seek ways to minister together and as God calls you to the tasks He has appointed for you, don’t be afraid of your flaws. Acknowledge them and allow Him to take advantage of them so that you too can be a thing of beauty in His pathway.

Go out boldly, knowing that in our weaknesses we will always find His strength. In Christ the answer to every one of His promises is “Yes,” and for this reason we say, “Amen, so be it!” (See 2 Corinthians 1:20).

His Strength Is Perfect

His Strength Is Perfect

5/5

2 Corinthians 9:10

There are people who have a lot, but who do nothing for others with what they have. And there are people who have little, but who are able to do much with what they have. Use what you have today, and don’t worry about what you don’t have. God will make up the difference of what you lack, if you will just give Him what you can.

God’s strength is always made perfect in your weaknesses. Don’t apologize for your shortcomings; instead, watch for God’s presence to fill your void. Be the best that you can possibly be, and enjoy the glory God receives through your testimony every single day.

Grow Continually

Grow Continually

Colossians 1:9-10

God’s Word encourages us to strive for perfection by growing into complete maturity of Godliness in mind and character, having integrity, as our heavenly Father is perfect (see Matthew 5:48).

Paul said that even though he had not attained the ideal of perfection, he pressed on to grasp and make his own that for which Christ had laid hold of him (see Philippians 3:12). We, too, should press toward maturity and integrity today.

Repent and Move On

1 John 1:9

It is important to be sincerely sorry if we do something wrong, but it doesn’t help anybody for us to openly mourn over everything that is wrong with us. We will never mature in our faith if we stay angry at ourselves.

We are to repent of our sin, receive forgiveness of it, and then forget it. We must not drag memories of our old behavior around with us all the time. Sooner or later we have to let go and say, “Well I made a mistake because I am just an old cracked pot.” Then we must let God’s light shine through the holes in our surface.
