Not of This World...Crowned With Favor

Not of This World

Romans 12:2…do not be conformed to this world

Constant vigilance is required to avoid becoming like the world. You are exposed to so much violence today that you hardly notice it or pay any attention to it. Many people are desensitized to the agonies real people suffer due to the wealth of violence that is seen in movies and on television.

You may reach the point where you have no empathy for people that are suffering. This is understandable, but not acceptable. You must fight apathy. As a Christian, you may not be able to solve all the world's problems, but you can care – and to truly end this day right, you can pray.

Crowned with Favor

Psalm 8:5-6

In this Scripture, honor and favor have the same meaning. According to this promise, you can have favor with God and with other people. But just because something is available to you does not mean you will partake of it. The Lord offers many gifts that you never receive and enjoy because you do not activate your faith in that area.

For example, if you go to a job interview confessing fear and failure, you will be almost certain not to get the job. On the other hand, even if you apply for a job you are not fully qualified for, you can still go in confidence, knowing God will give you favor in every situation that is His will.
