Love Is Not a Feeling
1 John 3:18
This Scripture tells you that love is not simply a theory, a feeling, or sweet nothings whispered in the ear – love is deeds. Many people have the mistaken belief that love is a warm, fuzzy feeling. This is why you think you cannot love someone who is unpleasant or even hostile. But the truth is that love is an action, doing what needs to be done in every situation. Developing love is not a horrible struggle - it is simply being good to people.
Take a few minutes tonight to examine your life and seek God more about your love walk. How kind are you to people? What are you doing for others? How are you treating people who are not treating you very nicely? Change your direction if you have not been expressing God's love to others through joy, peace, patience, goodness, and kindness. Do not just talk about love, walk in love!
