Religious Kitsch

I am teaching a course on Creativity and Expression at Medaille College. One of the vocabulary words we discuss is kitsch. Derived from Yiddish (I believe), it signifies something that some consider art, but other consider commonplace, tacky or crass; not lacking in artistic merit.

I give you this definition to preface the website link which is what I would describe as religious kitsch. Lots of stuff that is silly cute or profane (depending on how serious a person you are), like St. Anthony the Patron Saint of Bacon, pictured on your left.

So, take it with the spirit it was intended and giggle, smile, and enjoy!
